CORNHOLE
Cornhole Rules (2v2)
Objective:
The objective of the game is to reach or exceed 21 points before your opponent.
Setup:
To play Cornhole, you will need 2 official Pro Beer Sports Cornhole boards, and 8 official Cornhole bags.
The official Cornhole board dimensions are 48” (length) x 24” (width) x 1/2” (height) with a hole that is 6” in diameter.
The official Cornhole bags are roughly 6 square inches and 14-16 ounces.
A regulation size Cornhole court is 8 feet wide and 40 feet long with a recommended vertical clearance of 12 feet.
Boards are positioned 27’ from the front edge to front edge of the boards.
A designated players box is a 4’ x 3’ area at each end of the court and on both sides of each board. Each player has a designated box.
Who goes first:
One player from each team play Rock-Paper-Scissors to determine which team tosses first. The winning team chooses between picking their board sides or picking who tosses first. The other team picks between what is left.
Gameplay:
Teammates stand on the opposite side of the field on the same side of the boards. Players take turns tossing four bags each. Each player tosses one bag back and forth when their side is up to toss. Players may not step over or have their hand cross the foul line at the front edge of the Cornhole board while tossing.
After all 8 bags have been tossed, teams tally the score for that round. The game uses “cancellation” scoring. In cancellation scoring, the points of one player cancel out the points of their opponent. Using this method, only one team can score in each round.
Bag on the board: Any bag that comes to rest anywhere on top of the board. Each bag is worth 1 point.
Bag in the hole: Any bag which is tossed through the hole or knocked through the hole by another bag. Each bag that goes through the hole is worth 3 points.
After each team totals their points, determine how many points the team that won that round will receive. For example, if Team A scored 7 points and Team B scored 4 points, then Team A adds 3 points to their overall score total.
Winning:
The first team to reach or exceed 21 points wins.
Special Rules:
When not throwing, players need to stand behind the board next to them.
If a bag stays on the board without going into the hole, another toss may push that bag into the hole.
The team who scored in the preceding round tosses first in the next round. If neither team scores, the team who tossed first in the preceding round tosses first next round.
Players must toss the bag with an under-hand release.
Judgement Rulings:
If players step over or their hand crosses the foul line at the edge of their board, their toss does not count.
FAQ:
Are distractions allowed?

You may not blow or try to generate wind in any way towards the games as a distraction. You may not try to shake the ground, tables, or boards as a distraction.
